SAMBAR

Ingredients:

  1. Toor dal(1/2 cup),
  2. chopped vegetables (2cup),
  3. Nellon sambar powder 3 tablespoons,
  4. coconut oil 1/2 tablespoon,
  5. Tomato -1,
  6. salt to taste,
  7. Mustered,
  8. turmeric,
  9. dry red chillies,
  10. curry leaves (as required ),
  11. water -1cup

Method:

Boil the washed toor dal and pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles.
Add chopped vegetables along with a pinch of turmeric powder in 3 cups of water and cook till it’s half-boiled. Add tomato and boil for the next 10 minutes. Add Nelson sambar powder and stir to boil well. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard, dried red chillies and curry leaves. Once it’s ready pour it directly into the sambar
